One of Dario's absolute favorites: the classic tuna tartare.
Simple and pure, made with only the finest ingredients. Although Dario is proudly Italian, he swears by the smooth, full flavor of our Greek TOPIKÁ Original olive oil .
Pure, tasty and without fuss.
Ingredients (for 2 persons):
-
200 g fresh, top-quality tuna (preferably from a local fishmonger)
-
Finely grated zest of ½ lemon
-
A handful of sea asparagus
-
2 tbsp TOPIKÁ Original olive oil (1 tbsp for mixing, 1 tbsp for finishing)
-
Salt and pepper
Preparation method:
- Using a sharp knife, cut the tuna into small, even cubes, slightly larger than a brunoise, so that the fish retains its structure and bite.
- Rinse the samphire briefly under cold water and pat dry. Finely chop the stems (like chives). Reserve the decorative ends for garnish.
- In a bowl, combine the tuna with the finely chopped samphire, lemon zest, and 1 tablespoon of TOPIKÁ Original olive oil . Mix everything together lightly with a fork.
- Season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Spoon the tartare into a chilled cocktail glass (such as a coupe or martini glass) for an elegant presentation.
- Finish with a drizzle of TOPIKÁ Original olive oil , some extra lemon zest and pepper, and the reserved samphire as a delicate topping.
