Dimitrios Magousakis was the first of his family to produce wine and olive oil in Agios Myronas, and died from a fatal gunshot wound while fighting for the liberation of Crete from Ottoman occupation.
1903 — 1990
Spyridon Magousakis, inspired by his father's death, became a doctor and served in World War II, after which he turned to growing olives and wine on the inherited family estates.
1946 — PRESENT
Spyridon Magousakis, born in Agios Myronas, studied mathematics in Athens but took over the family business, where he and his father and brothers still harvest the olives every year, including trees over 100 years old.
1977 — PRESENT
Dimitrios Magousakis, named after his grandfather, started a successful travel agency in Crete together with his brother, combining this with olive and grape cultivation, while later also opening a butcher's shop and supermarket in Agios Myronas.
2001 — PRESENT
Dimitris Meijer, born in Heraklion and raised in the Netherlands, is the fifth generation of the Magousakis family and decided to introduce the family olive oil to the Dutch market while still studying business administration in Utrecht, together with his high school friend Daan.
